Interview to the Director (Task 12)

Hi everyone! This is our last Task and in this time we have had to do an interview which is here:

1. How do you organize the school? Formal or informal learning?

2. Has been created in your school some virtual learning space?

3. What are the advantages about the use of new technologies? Do you think that are useful to the learning?

4. In order to provide students a better learning environment that match to their capabilities, especially for those who have learning disabilities, what are the main tools, infrastructures and measures that are being implement in the school?

5. Also, nowadays everything is on Internet, so is very easy to get what you want for free and just with a click, since photos, paperwork’s... to films for example. However, a lot of things shouldn't be that and actually people should pay for that if there is not creative commons. Children do what they see from their parents, teachers… and if they see that you can do copyright without any problem they will do it.
In your school everything has creative common licenses? And if it is so, how do you control it?

6. When technology is used it’s very important to ensure the protection of individual, privacy, confidentially and the safe use of digital learning technologies and data.
Has your school appropriate some policies, procedures and safeguards?

7. From your point of view, what are the main skills that a good teacher should have and be competent in order to develop well the teaching-learning process?

8. What are the key points in which is based your educational program?

9. As you may now, it is very important that people feel safe and comfortable in their workplace. In one of the main points to this happen is the kind of leadership that occurs in the school. There are 4 different types of leadership: The authoritarian, in which the boss is the one who makes all the decisions without the workers' participation; the democratic, in which workers participate in decision-making, promotes dialogue between the group, but the final decision is made by the principal; the transactional, in which the director awards prizes to his workers for their work, which makes them work more and better, leaving the structures clear; and finally the transformational, which greatly promotes communication to achieve the objectives and provide the vision of change they want to get from their workers.
What kind of leader do you think you are and why?

10. We can learn from everything that surrounds us, since our family, friends and teachers to the new technologies. Everything can play an important role in our lives. So, what and how things of your schools can affect to your students?

11. Do you think that the new technologies can replace the textbooks?

12. Now we are going to talk about complexity and relationships. As you know, these topics are very important in education, so, what do you think about the relationships between peers?

13. Do you think that work out of school improve the learning and the relationships between them?

14. You know that the progressive integration and effective use of digital technologies can have the character of an educational innovation, so how do you think you can improve and introduce properly the technology in the classes?

15. Could you ensure that self- and peer assessment is going to be promoted? How do you do that?

16. Will you provide programs and courses so that the teachers of the center can continue to train in order to be better?

Translator Week 12 Task 11

Hi everyone! I'm Ana and in this week I was the translator, so I'm going to put here the 5 most important concepts of this task:

Connection map: is a diagram in which all their elements are connected and interrelated.

Organization: An organization is a social group formed by people, tasks and administration, which interact within the framework of a systematic structure to fulfill its objectives. An organization can only exist when there are people who communicate and are ready to act in a coordinated way to achieve their goals.

Structures: System of related and interdependent elements.

Cycle teams: consist of a group of teachers who teach in a given cycle and act under the supervision of the boss of studies and the coordination of a member appointed for it.

Departments: Refers to each of the parts in which a territory, a building, a company, an institution or another thing or entity is divided. In our case, we are referring specifically to the organization of a high school, which is divided by subject departments.

Facilitator Week 12 Task 11

Hi, everyone! I'm Lucy and in this week I had to be the facilitator.
The Monday we started bypassing the roles and then we started to read the two documents which there are in Aula Virtual. Then, this afternoon we were working through Skype organizing all the ideas and thinking how we can do the Mind Map.
On Tuesday we divide us into two groups: one's was making the poster and the another one was helping the Stars to do their speech.
And finally, Wednesday comes. Our Stars were very nervous but they did it perfectly.
As I was the facilitator I wanted to reward all my team because of their hard work so I decided to bring some biscuits, but they weren't so successfully as It was the sponge cake, because they had raisins and the majority of my team didn't like it. But it doesn't matter, now I know to the next task.

Curator-farmer Week 12 Task 11

Hello guys! My name is Paula and in this 11th task I have been the curator-farmer of my group.
This week we Have made a connection map about schools that learn, and I hope that you enjoy it!

Stars Week 12 Task 11

Hello, I am Marta and this week together with my partner Andrea we have been the star of our group. At first I thought that the task would be easy to not have to expose alone, but little by little the thing became complicated. The presentation was a speed learning in which all the groups passed by the place where our mural was put so that we explained our work to them. We had to talk for 6 min on 9 occasions, one with Linda's presence.
I will tell a bit about my experience as it was better than I expected. It took us a long time to complete the work as we did not know how to relate the texts and we were up until late on Tuesday night to finish it. When I arrived at the university on Wednesday morning I came across Paula, a partner of my group and when I explained the work aloud, both of us realized that it was not as it should be, that is to say, it had enough faults so we got to work and at 10 we got it in the best way.
At that moment I was overwhelmed since the class was at 10:30 and I did not know my exposition well. The class started and at first I had to look more than I needed the paper where I had all the work, but  to having to say it so many times I ended up explaining it very calm and without nerves, trying to make all my classmates understood well. I felt very comfortable and safe and I really enjoyed the experience of sharing the exhibition with Andrea as we helped each other to make everything better. I have to say that I have lost a lot of the shame that I had at the beginning of the course and now I am the first to lend itself at the time of presenting. It has been a very good experience that I would repeat!

Regards!

Analyst Week 12 Task 11

Hello everyone, I am Cristina and this week I am the analyst of my group. I think this is the most complicated role because I have to analyze and evaluate the work of each one of my colleagues. So, let's go!

I think the best part of the activity has been to see the evolution of the group and the final result since at the beginning it was quite difficult. The worst part has been the difficulty of relating ideas because we had doubts about certain concepts that were important to know how to connect the two new texts with the previous ones of task 7. I also think that it has been a long task that has taken us a long time to do it.

From my point of view, the best moment of the week has been when the two stars of our group have had to expose our work to the rest since everything was better than expected so it had been worth the time we had spent in doing it. The worst moment was on Tuesday afternoon because we had the speech incomplete, still unresolved doubts and above all, our stars were very nervous and stressed because they were the ones who had to expose and there was very little time to finish the speeches and also they had to learn them.

What we have learned from this task is to relate the different elements that influence schools, how knowledge is formed and is transmitted through the interaction between different connections (teacher-student, teacher-teacher, peers ...).

I also think that what we have to keep as a group is what we have had since the first day of work, a collaboration and involvement among all members of the group. Thanks to this the work has become easier since we have all contributed ideas and we have helped each other.

As a group we have to improve the way we spend the time so that we are as effective as possible to carry out the task.
Both,  the content covered in this task and the contents covered in other subjects provide us information about the complex reality of educational centers, so that all the subjects of our course are focused on increasing our knowledge and preparation as future teachers for the purpose to become professionals.

I also think that there are social connections of this content refering to politics, news, social networks because education is always a topic of great social interest since we can see for example in politicians how they incorporate new educational laws, how they modify the previous ones and try to adapt the new ones to the demands of society.

This week's marks are going to be good as we have all worked hard and we have also worked hard to get a good result and I think we have achieved it.

This has been my opinion and valuation as an analyst. See you in the last week!

Journalist Week 12 Task 11

Hi everyone, welcome another day to the Superstars blog. I am Monica, the journalist of this week.

Then, you are going to see a collection of images of what we have done these days.

Started by Monday, the teacher explained us the Task number 11 and we started to do it in class.

We started bypassing the roles of this week, as I have already said, this week I've been the journalist. After sharing the roles, we divided the work and started to read the two texts, Spanish and English.

That evening we connect to Skype to organize the tasks. Each member of the group had to search the relations between the two new texts and the others of another task to bring him on Tuesday and begin to do manual work.

Tuesday evening were some of the members doing the manual labor and others making the script that would be used to expose to all the groups on Wednesday.

Wednesday is the day of the presentations.

Our star Marta and Andrea did a super job. Here I show you images of the different works and the different stars from each group.
